Paths

The paths of the source texts, the layout, the target directory and the TextTransformer projects are relatively to the path of the web site project (*.wst). By use of the choice dialogs these paths are calculated automatically. If you save a web site project under another path, you will be asked to let adapt all relative paths automatically.

Per default it is assumed that the pictures and possible css files are in the folders "img" and "css" of the target directory where HTML pages will be written. You then can use the place-holders {img} and {css} in the layout or the substitutions.
In the folder dialog folder dialog, which can be reached in the tool bar, you can define additional names for folders or change the existing folders which can be different (or also identical) on your computer and on the web-server. (The directories in the table are relative to the target directory.)

Example:

Name  local folder  web folder
img  C:\pictures  img

In the layout then the path to your logo could be:

{img}logo.jpg

This is resolved for the preview on your computer to:

C:\pictures\logo.jpg

and on the Web server:

img\logo.jpg

If relative paths are used in the layout or the substitutions instead of the palce-holders, a correct website produced too. A single page then might not be represented completely in the preview, however.

It is assumed for the produced web site that all HTML files are copied in one common directory. It is recommendable to call one of the source files "index.txt". It then turns into the file "index.html" which is shown automatically if the home page is called without a concrete page reference.
